Gratitude for the scientific research contributions of Professor Pham Minh Hac

Due to his old age, Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Hac attended the conference online. His wife, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh, attended the conference.

According to Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, Professor, Associate Professor, People's Teacher Pham Minh Hac is a scientist, teacher, manager, politician , and practical activist in the field of education. He has made many outstanding and great contributions to the country's education for a very long time.

As a scientist, Professor, Associate Professor, People's Teacher Pham Minh Hac has made many contributions to the development of psychology in general and Vietnamese educational psychology, research on the development of educational science, educational philosophy, and educational methods. Many of his scientific studies have contributed to the development of psychology, educational science in general and to the development of modern Vietnamese education in particular.

As a manager, through many different positions, especially as Minister of Education, he made many proposals and directed the implementation of the national goal of eliminating illiteracy and universalizing primary education by 2000... The practical experience of the professor in directing the country's education is still meaningful for the current fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, especially the development of education towards comprehensive human development in the spirit of the 2018 General Education Program.

The scientific conference “Prof.A.S.Pham Minh Hac and the development of Vietnamese educational science” received more than 30 presentations from scientists, managers, staff and lecturers nationwide. The content of the presentations affirmed the important contributions of Prof. Pham Minh Hac.

Specifically, Professor Pham Minh Hac has published a large number of scientific research works. Some of which have been translated into many different languages. These are important sources of documents contributing to the development of modern educational psychology. Professor Pham Minh Hac's works have explained and generalized many new concepts and scientific categories in psychology and pedagogy, contributing to supplementing, developing and enriching theories of modern psychology and pedagogy. Research works on Vietnamese educational philosophy, research on values, Vietnamese human values, research on people... not only have directional value, leading the development trend of Vietnamese educational theory and practice at turning points but also are the scientific basis for proposing policies and strategies for innovation and development of education and training in the context of international integration and cooperation.

According to Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, the articles and opinions at the conference on Professor, Associate Professor, People's Teacher Pham Minh Hac not only help clarify and honor a career, but also contribute to clarifying many issues of Vietnamese education history and Vietnamese educational science.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Mau Banh - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Former Teachers emphasized: The scientific conference "Prof. Dr. People's Teacher Pham Minh Hac and the development of Vietnamese educational science" is not to evaluate a great scientist in the field of education but an opportunity to pay tribute to Prof. Dr. People's Teacher Pham Minh Hac for the development of Vietnamese educational science. It is a tribute to the scientific research works that have raised awareness in the fields of psychology and educational science; a tribute to a strategic, comprehensive, scientific and profound vision of Vietnamese education; a tribute to the sincere feelings, understanding and affection of Prof. Pham Minh Hac - a teacher, scientist and educational manager who is always concerned with the education of the country.

At this conference, scientists and educators also sent a number of recommendations to the Ministry of Education and Training on preserving and continuing to promote the values, research results, contributions and dedication of Professor Pham Minh Hac.
