According to the report, in the 2024-2025 school year, the whole province has 361 kindergartens with more than 5,100 groups and classes, caring for and educating nearly 123,000 children. Of which: Nursery schools have 1,206 groups with 25,343 children, the rate of mobilizing children to go to school is 39.7%, higher than the national average; the rate of mobilizing 5-year-old children is 99.95%. Non-public preschool education has also developed with 6 schools and 85 groups and classes maintained, contributing to meeting the needs of parents for childcare.

During the past school year, the quality of childcare and education continued to improve. Preschools have synchronously implemented the topics "Building a green - safe - friendly preschool", "Child-centered", enhancing Vietnamese for children in ethnic minority areas, expanding STEAM education and initially applying information technology and artificial intelligence in childcare and management. The rate of children attending school meals and participating in the School Milk Program has increased; malnutrition has decreased significantly.

However, preschool education still faces difficulties in terms of the gap between advantaged areas and remote areas; lack of facilities and equipment; and policies for teachers that do not meet the workload and pressure of work.

Entering the 2025-2026 school year, the education sector has set out many key tasks such as: Flexibly implementing preschool education programs according to local characteristics; deploying 100% of the School Milk Program; continuing to strengthen Vietnamese for ethnic minority children; building child-centered preschools; encouraging social mobilization; expanding STEAM education, familiarizing with English in qualified facilities; implementing traffic safety education activities; building national standard preschools; ensuring sufficient quantity and improving the capacity of preschool teachers, thereby contributing to improving the quality of preschool education.
