Art exhibition "Indigo - The source of Cau River" and award ceremony of the creative campaign "A common Vietnamese legacy"

Art performance to welcome the opening ceremony

The exhibition displays nearly 100 works by 16 authors who are members of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association. The works include many genres and materials such as: wood carving, oil painting, lacquer, acrylic, silk, gouache, iron pen, etc.

The content of the works reflects the cultural identity, daily life and customs of the ethnic minorities in the highlands of Bac Kan in particular and the Northeast region in general. The paintings focus on folk and mountainous themes, honoring the beauty of people, nature, production, cultural activities, etc., while expressing love for the homeland, country and national pride.

Mr. Duong Van Phong, Chairman of the Bac Kan Provincial Literature and Arts Association, delivered the opening speech of the exhibition.

Speaking at the exhibition, Mr. Duong Van Phong, Chairman of the Bac Kan Provincial Literature and Arts Association, said: “Through this occasion, artists of Bac Kan province have the opportunity to exchange, learn, and improve their expertise and creative skills, so that they can continue to make practical contributions to the overall development of the province, especially in tourism development; contributing to concretizing the Party's guidelines to bring literature and art to people's lives, serve the people, improve the spiritual and cultural life, and nurture the personality and soul of the Vietnamese people to become more and more beautiful.”

Delegates presented flowers to congratulate the artists participating in this exhibition.

The exhibition attracted a large number of audiences from inside and outside the province. Ms. Ly Thi Thao (Cao Loc, Lang Son ) expressed: “This is the first time I have come to Bac Kan and had the opportunity to directly see the paintings at the exhibition. I feel that each vivid and delicate stroke contains the artists' thoughts and feelings for their homeland. Through this, I feel closer to and love more the natural beauty and people of the highlands of Bac Kan”.

At the second exhibition "Indigo - The source of Cau River", the artists realistically and vividly reflected the daily life, traditional cultural values ​​and achievements of the ethnic groups in Bac Kan in the process of building and developing their homeland during the renovation period.

Works by the late painter Duong Thi Noi are displayed at the exhibition.

In particular, this exhibition also displays 10 works by the late painter Duong Thi Noi, one of the first people to lay the foundation for Bac Kan Fine Arts.

This program is part of a series of activities of the "Culture - Tourism Week" of Bac Kan province in 2025, an address for art enthusiasts and tourists when visiting Bac Kan city on this occasion.

Exhibition displays special works of art

The exhibition will take place from now until April 30, 2025, at the lobby of Bac Kan Provincial Cultural House, Group 7, Song Cau Ward, Bac Kan City.../.

On this occasion, the Bac Kan Provincial Literature and Arts Association organized a summary and award ceremony for the Campaign to create and promote Bac Kan literary and artistic works to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) with the theme "Sharing a Vietnamese legacy".

Delegates presented certificates and congratulatory flowers to the authors who won the Encouragement Prize.

Launched in August 2024, the Campaign has attracted a large number of artists and authors from all over the country to participate. After nearly a year of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 336 entries in many genres, including 204 photography works, 101 poems, 15 songs, 08 short stories and 08 memoirs - notes...

The Organizing Committee awarded Prize C to the authors whose works won prizes.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 24 prizes including 01 A Prize; 05 B Prizes; 09 C Prizes and 09 Encouragement Prizes. In which, the A Prize belonged to author Ngo Duc Mich (Cho Moi) in the field of photography with the series of works: Festival by Ba Be Lake; Bowl Dance.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the participating works deeply expressed ideological and artistic values, honoring the historical values ​​of the national liberation struggle while praising the achievements in the cause of building and developing the civilized, modern, and affectionate homeland of Bac Kan.

Through the works, readers can visualize the changes and progress of Bac Kan. The results of the campaign show the strong development of Bac Kan literature and art after 50 years of national reunification.

The participating works not only enrich the literary and artistic treasure of Bac Kan, but also contribute to stimulating the creative potential of all classes of people, while affirming the important role of art in preserving and promoting the cultural and historical values ​​of the nation.

Comrade Luu Ngoc Trung, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, awarded the A prize to author Ngo Duc Mich.
