Trinh Thu Vinh won 4 gold medals and broke 2 records at the 33rd SEA Games.

Female shooter Trinh Thu Vinh, a member of the Public Security force and a former participant in the 2024 Paris Olympics, continued her successful run on December 17th by winning two gold medals in the team and individual 25m sport pistol events for women.

In the women's 25m sport pistol team final, Trinh Thu Vinh, along with Nguyen Thuy Trang and Nguyen Thuy Dung, performed exceptionally well. Thu Vinh finished first with 584 points, Thuy Trang second with 582 points, and Thuy Dung fourth with 580 points.

With this result, the Vietnamese women's pistol team achieved a total of 1,746 points, winning the gold medal and breaking the SEA Games record.

Furthermore, this achievement also earned Thu Vinh and Thùy Trang the right to advance to the women's 25m sport pistol individual final.

After 50 shots, Thu Vinh and Thùy Trang both scored an excellent 34 points. Thu Vinh ranked first due to a better tie-breaking score, while Thùy Trang came in second.

Notably, the 34-point score in the final was recognized as a new SEA Games record. Thu Vinh won the gold medal, and Thuy Trang won the silver medal, both breaking SEA Games records.
