On the morning of December 19, like many other localities across the country, schools in the mountainous district of Nam Tra My, Quang Nam province held the first flag-raising ceremony of the new year of Giap Thin 2024 when students returned to school after the Lunar New Year holiday. However, today's flag-raising ceremony in schools in this mountainous district was more special because all students received lucky money from their teachers.
And the above meaningful thing comes from the love and devotion to his students of Mr. Nguyen Tran Vy - Vice Principal of Vu A Dinh Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Tra Don Commune, Nam Tra My District.

Mr. Vy said that this is the fourth year he has implemented the lucky money program for students. "Like every year, before, during and after Tet this year, I mobilized funds from benefactors. Then, I coordinated with teachers working in 28 schools from kindergarten to secondary school in the district to find a way to convert all the donated money into new bills with a face value of 5,000 VND.
And in the first flag-raising ceremony when students return to school, we will give lucky money to them" - Mr. Vy said and shared that this morning, he and his colleagues gave lucky money to a total of 9,931 students.

It is known that most of the students in the mountainous district of Nam Tra My are ethnic minorities. Many of them do not know the custom of giving lucky money like students in the lowlands. Therefore, through giving lucky money, they will have more joy and motivation to study in the new year.
