Production activities at Tan Hue Vien Pia Cake and Chinese Sausage Food Processing Company Limited.
Overcoming difficulties
According to Sao Ta Food Joint Stock Company, the company currently has a system of 3 factories, 2 farming areas of over 500 hectares with 4,100 official employees and 1,500 seasonal workers. However, the company's production and business situation of farming and processing shrimp for export is also facing difficulties, affecting its development strategy. The current difficulties are trade barriers due to the imposition of anti-dumping tax, reciprocal tax by the US and competition with Ecuador, India and Indonesia. Along with that, the cost of raw materials is high due to low farming rate, so since the beginning of the year, the cost has increased, which also leads to the company's products having difficulty competing with countries with the same export products.
Faced with the above situation, the Company has proposed solutions such as investing in shrimp farming, implementing deep processing, diversifying products and optimizing production costs... thanks to which, the enterprise has maintained stable growth. Accordingly, the total processing output in the first 6 months of 2025 of the unit is about 9,100 tons, an increase of 11% over the same period last year, consuming over 7,200 tons, with sales reaching over 82 million USD. The average income of workers and employees is over 11 million VND/person/month.
Mr. Thai Minh Quang, Deputy Director of Tan Hue Vien Pia Cake and Chinese Sausage Processing Company Limited, said that in the first 6 months of 2025, the production output reached over 5,717 tons, with a product value of nearly 28.6 million USD. Of which, the export output was over 357,000 tons, with sales reaching nearly 2.287 million USD, a sharp increase over the same period last year. According to Mr. Thai Minh Quang, the reason for the growth is due to the stronger recovery of the market, especially in the US, EU and Japan. Free trade agreements are promoted, and export enterprises are free from trade barriers such as tariffs. In particular, from digital transformation, simplifying procedures and documents, the declaration and filing process is shortened, thereby speeding up the customs clearance process. In order to meet the demand and expand the market, the company invested in more modern production lines and built an entertainment system to serve free of charge for tourists who come to visit and shop.
Mr. Vo Van Khai, Deputy General Director of Tay Do Steel Company, said that in the first 6 months of 2025, total revenue at Tay Do Steel Company reached 2,719 billion VND, reaching 45% of the 2025 plan, up 44% over the same period in 2024. Of which, exports increased by 46.7% over the same period last year, reaching 24.34 million USD. In the plan for the last 6 months of 2025, the total revenue of the enterprise strives to reach from 3,300-3,500 billion VND... In addition to exporting finished steel products, the enterprise also develops the Philippine market to export steel billets. In the development plan, the enterprise needs support in terms of electricity and expansion of area to meet the needs of production and business development, proposing that relevant agencies consider supporting the enterprise in expanding its business area.
