Identifying the construction and development of a safe food supply chain is a necessary task to help strengthen the connection between production, preliminary processing and processing facilities and the distribution system, helping production facilities to proactively control output and goods sources, forming sustainable and stable chains.
Every year, the Department of Quality, Processing, Market and Rural Development of Hau Giang province develops a plan to strengthen and further develop safe food supply chains.
In 2024, the Department plans to develop 4 more chains on agricultural and aquatic products in the province.
Through the process of surveying production conditions at the facility, collecting samples for testing of land and water sources serving the production of Mulberry products at Hong Mo facility (address Hamlet 3, Thanh Hoa commune, Phung Hiep district, Hau Giang province), it was determined that the Facility meets the conditions to grant certification of safe food supply chain products according to the provisions of Decision No. 3075/2016/QD-BNN-QLCL dated July 20, 2016 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development .
The Department has issued a certificate of safe food supply chain products to Hong Mo Facility with products: Fresh mulberry, Mulberry wine, Mulberry tea bags, Mulberry syrup.
After being certified, the Facility can use the chain's logo on its products, which is also a highlight to help consumers distinguish safe food supply chain products from regular products.

The certification of safe food supply products contributes to creating a source of high-quality food supply and is also a driving force for establishments to boldly invest in technological innovation, applying science and technology to production to improve efficiency, quality, food safety, enhance competitiveness, build brands and trademarks, and serve consumer needs.
In addition to developing new safe food supply chains, the Department plans to inspect and collect samples to monitor product quality of chains that have been granted certificates, preside over and coordinate with relevant units to manage, supervise, inspect and check food quality and safety at the chain to prevent and handle violations in the field of food quality and safety, and combine with good propaganda and education of knowledge and legal regulations on ensuring food safety.
At the same time, continue to inform and promote the province's safe agricultural, forestry and fishery food supply chains to provinces and cities across the country.
Coordinate in quality management, food safety, supervision, inspection, examination, and traceability of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products of Hau Giang province for consumption in other provinces and cities and vice versa.
The development of safe food supply chains in Hau Giang has initially brought practical results, forming many sustainable links between production, supply and consumption of products.
From there, providing the market with food sources that are closely monitored by authorities, with traceable origins, creating trust for consumers.
Up to now, there are about 19 chains in the province. For the operating chains, it is necessary to strengthen production and product consumption links in provinces and cities in the country; diversify products; expand the scope of safe food supply along the chain to collective kitchens, schools, hotels, and restaurants.
