Soldier Nguyen Duc Hai, Company 7 said: "During 3 months of hard training, we learned and practiced basic team command movements, so when forming a team, it was very easy to carry out". Lieutenant Colonel Vo Chi Tam, Regiment Commander of Gia Dinh Regiment said: "Implementing the motto "basic, practical, solid training", we focus on helping soldiers master basic movements and know how to apply them in practice. This is a measure to improve the quality of training for new soldiers this year".
From the beginning, the Regiment proactively invested 152 million VND to renew the model, teaching aids, and prepare a regular training ground. Nearly 80% of the training staff are people with many years of experience in training new soldiers. 100% of the staff are trained to improve personal skills, training methods, practice organization, and situation handling, ensuring safety.
The unit strictly maintains discipline, develops scientific training plans, and actively innovates content and methods in a visual, vivid, and realistic way. During the training process, officers guide, check, and specifically correct each soldier's movements.

Senior Lieutenant Le Anh Kiet, Platoon Leader of Platoon 10, Company 5, Battalion 2, shared: "We thoroughly practice lesson plans, master pedagogical skills, exploit and use weapons, and organize practice corrections. In addition to modeling and standardizing movements, we also present situations to arouse the initiative and creativity of soldiers. Thanks to that, we avoid one-way training, rigid imposition that puts psychological pressure on soldiers."
With highly technical and potentially unsafe contents such as AK submachine gun shooting, grenade throwing, and explosives lesson 1, all units organize tests and sports events for each individual after each lesson. The key contents include: Features, structure, explosive principles, practical skills, explosive device installation, explosive packaging... Thereby, officers grasp the level of soldiers, promptly adjust training methods, and supplement practical and effective training.
Major Bui Hoang Nam, Battalion Commander of Battalion 3, shared: "We divide the content into small parts, rotate them, and organize many practice sessions so that soldiers can smoothly combine theory with practice, technique with tactics. In addition to praising and encouraging, the unit also encourages soldiers to actively practice by giving away free Zalo and phone calls to their families every week."
Final exam results: AK submachine gun shooting was good; grenade throwing and explosives were excellent, ensuring safety and strictly following discipline.
Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Truong An, Political Commissar of the Regiment, said: "New soldiers often miss home and face many difficulties in training due to harsh weather and high training intensity. Therefore, the Party Committee and Command of the Regiment direct the implementation of the motto: "Where there are soldiers, there are cadres", and at the same time require cadres to be close to the soldiers with love and responsibility, treating soldiers as family members.
Cadres at all levels strictly implement the "3 together" (eat together, live together, train together), and actively organize activities, entertainment and recreation with soldiers. The regiment maintains the tradition of Political and Cultural Spiritual Days, democratic dialogue, 3-person activity groups; coordinates with local Party committees, authorities and soldiers' families in management and education. Many effective political-ideological models have been deployed such as: "Letter from the heroic Gia Dinh Regiment", "Supporting the training season", "Cadres 3 together, 2 before, 1 after"... contributing to motivating and caring for the material and spiritual life of soldiers.
Soldier Nguyen Tuan Tu (Company 11, Battalion 3), from Binh Tan District ( Ho Chi Minh City) emotionally recounted: "After more than 2 months of training, I received news that my wife gave birth to a son. The officers met, encouraged me, and also bought milk to send to my child. With timely care and encouragement, I overcame difficulties, completed my tasks well, and achieved good and excellent results in the test contents."
