Early morning of October 30, Vietnam time, China launched the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft carrying 3 astronauts to the Tiangong Space Station.
The launch was carried out by a Long March 2F rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Gansu Province, northwest China.
After being launched for about 10 minutes, the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft separated from the rocket and entered the designated orbit, beginning its journey to the Tiangong Station.
According to the announcement of the commander of the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, all three astronauts on board were in good health and the launch was successful.
Also according to the China Manned Space Administration, after entering orbit, the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft is expected to dock and automatically dock with the Tiangong Station.
Astronauts aboard Shenzhou-19 will take over command of the Tiangong Station after their colleagues on the Shenzhou-18 mission are scheduled to return to Earth in the next few days.
During their six-month stay at Tiangong Station, the three Shenzhou-19 astronauts will welcome the cargo spacecraft Tianzhou-8 and the manned spacecraft Shenzhou-20.
During this mission, the Shenzhou-19 astronaut team will conduct 86 space scientific research and technical tests, conduct activities outside of space, and install equipment to protect the Tiangong Station from space debris.
The astronauts will also participate in scienceeducation , community welfare activities and several load tests during their mission.
