On the morning of June 16, the National Agricultural Extension Center ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hai Duong to give fish, chicken breeds, animal feed, biological products... to cooperatives and households in Kim Thanh, Chi Linh City participating in the task of "Building and developing the 18M1 hybrid chicken model associated with the product consumption chain" and "Developing the 78 perch farming model associated with the product consumption chain".
In Tam Ky commune (Kim Thanh), the center delivered 250,000 tilapia of 78 varieties to Lien Trung Cooperative.
Tilapia 78 was selected from imported fish breeds in 2014. The fish is omnivorous, easy to raise, has few diseases, grows and develops quickly, can be raised at high density, creating high productivity and output. In 5 - 6 months of raising, the fish can reach 1.5 - 2 kg/fish. The meat quality is delicious, favored by domestic and export markets.
In addition to being supported with seeds, materials and techniques, households participating in the model also sign a commitment to purchase all products at a price 3-5% higher than other households.
At Mr. Tran Nhat Tam's household, Ho Giai village, Hoang Hoa Tham commune (Chi Linh city), the center gave away 4,000 18M1 chickens. The chickens have a beautiful appearance and are popular in the market. In some implemented models, the 18M1 hybrid chickens have a survival rate of 93.33% up to 16 weeks of age, with an average weight of 2.2 kg/chicken.

In addition to Hai Duong, the National Agricultural Extension Center also supports chickens for households in Bac Giang and fish for households in Nam Dinh.
