On June 12, Hanoi Medical University (HMU) announced 1,910 enrollment targets for two admission methods, including direct admission and high school graduation exam scores.
Thus, compared to last year, this year the school has abandoned the method of considering the competency assessment exam scores of Hanoi National University and combined the high school graduation exam scores with international foreign language certificates.
With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, this year, Hanoi Medical University for the first time considered admission group A00 (math, physics, chemistry) for the majors of ophthalmology refraction, medical testing techniques, rehabilitation techniques, nursing, midwifery...
In addition, the school still keeps the same admission combinations as last year, including B00 (math, chemistry, biology), B08 (math, biology, English), C00 (literature, history, geography), D01 (math, literature, English).
Admission criteria and admission combinations by major are as follows:
With the direct admission method, Hanoi Medical University reserves a maximum of 40% of the direct admission quota for each major. If the direct admission candidates do not meet the quota, the remaining direct admission quota will be for the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Candidates for direct admission to all majors must have gold, silver, or bronze medals in international or regional Olympics in math, chemistry, biology, physics, or IT; or have won third prize or higher in the national competition for excellent students in math, chemistry, biology, physics, IT, English, or French.
For psychology, in addition to the above achievements, the school added the condition that candidates have won third prize or higher in the national excellent student exam in history, geography, and literature.
In addition, the school directly admits all majors with candidates who won prizes in the International Science and Technology Fair (ISEF) sent by the Ministry of Education and Training , and the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The school's admissions board will consider each candidate's project or topic for direct admission, specifically according to the following conditions:
- Candidates who win prizes at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) sent by the Ministryof Education and Training: will be considered for direct admission to all majors suitable for the content of the candidate's competition topic.
- Candidates participating in the International Science and Technology Fair (ISEF) are nominated by the Ministry of Education and Training and have a certificate equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or higher, must report their competition topic in English to the school's admissions board and be approved by all members of the school's admissions board attending the meeting, and will be considered for direct admission to all majors suitable for the content of the candidate's competition topic.
- Candidates who won first, second, and third prizes in the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students: will be considered for direct admission to bachelor's degree programs suitable for the content of the competition topic in which the candidate won the prize.
In addition, the school also considers direct admission for candidates who have completed the university preparatory program.
Candidates submit applications for direct admission from June 16 to 5:00 p.m. on June 30.
