Vietnam University of Petroleum has an invention copyrighted in the US.

On October 21, Vietnam Oil and Gas University (PVU) held a graduation ceremony for 48 students and opened the 2024-2025 school year. In the new school year, PVU welcomed 70 new students of the 13th regular university course, 6 students in the joint program with the Institute of Mining and Technology (USA) and 14 graduate students.

With the knowledge and skills they have been trained, 100% of PVU graduates have jobs, most of them in their majors. The graduated engineers are highly appreciated for their expertise, English and working skills.

Many students also receive full scholarships to study for master's and doctoral degrees from prestigious universities in the US, Canada, Australia, Italy, and South Korea; demonstrating international recognition of PVU's training quality and its ability to meet the high-tech labor market.

In addition to regular university training, PVU also organizes training services for units inside and outside the oil and gas industry; provides advanced professional training for 2,000 trainees who are officers of the group.

In the 2023 - 2024 school year, PVU will train 245 students; promote scientific research and scientific publication. PVU has 2 international projects; 7 industry-level topics; 16 basic-level topics; published 56 scientific articles, of which 29 articles were published in prestigious international journals...

In particular, in November 2023, PVU had 1 patent granted in the US with the name: Method and equipment for defect inspection (pipeline system - NV) using magnetic method with orthogonal magnetization system. Currently, PVU is registering copyright for 1 more patent in Europe. In addition, PVU has successfully registered 5 patents at the Vietnam Intellectual Property Office.

Regarding international cooperation, PVU has effectively implemented agreements with partners such as Honeywell UOP (USA), Topsoe (Denmark); expanded cooperation with the University of Tulsa (USA), the University of Montpellier (France), the University of Technology Malaysia, Chulalongkorn University (Thailand); continued to sponsor scholarships and accept student interns...
