Previously, as reported by SGGP Newspaper, on the morning of November 17, at Km224+600 to Km224+700 of Prenn Pass, a serious landslide occurred on the negative slope, about 100m long. In the following days, many other cracks and subsidence continued to appear on the pass, about 300m long, posing a potential risk of major landslides.
After a period of urgent handling and reinforcement of the roadbed, authorities said the pass is now eligible for temporary traffic.

On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, inspected the two passes of Prenn and Mimosa.

At Mimosa Pass - where landslides are occurring, Mr. Hai requested Project Management Board 85 ( Ministry of Construction ) to urgently complete barriers, signs and safety measures before temporarily opening the road to traffic, scheduled for November 28.
According to Project Management Board 85, after the temporary route is opened, the project will move to phase 2 with the construction of a 9m wide overpass, expected to start before December 10, 2025, with a construction period of 3 to 4 months.
