Foreign Trade University opens new school year 2023-2024

On September 26, Foreign Trade University solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the new academic year 2023 - 2024 for students, graduate students, postgraduates and especially nearly 4,000 new students of Course 62 and nearly 500 new students of joint training programs with foreign countries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, Party Secretary, Principal of Foreign Trade University affirmed: The school is proud to be a pioneer in building and developing an innovation ecosystem in Vietnam. In the 2022-2023 school year, with the efforts of teachers, staff, employees and all students, we have successfully completed the school year's tasks.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan said that the new school year 2023 - 2024 is a pivotal year for realizing the goal of building Foreign Trade University into a multidisciplinary, multi-field university, following the model of an innovative university. With innovation and science and technology as the driving force for development. Each teacher, each manager, each student, each trainee, each graduate student must be a person who "Knows how to innovate, dares to innovate, inspires innovation and leads the innovation process". The school continues to invest in improving conditions to ensure quality, especially in human resources and facilities; continues to invest in building and developing training programs, promoting science and technology activities.

“Although there are many difficulties and challenges ahead, no matter where they come from, in any circumstance, no matter how great the difficulties and challenges are, the people of Foreign Trade University are always united, unanimous in overcoming and achieving success” - the Principal affirmed.

Associate Professor Dr. Bui Anh Tuan also sent a message to new students: Be bold in accepting challenges as an inevitable part of life. Accept and commit to the things you are afraid of but still want to try. We cannot control all the difficulties and challenges that will happen. The only thing we can control is our attitude towards those difficulties and challenges. Some people consider difficulties as enemies, but others consider difficulties as teachers with great lessons.

One of the greatest privileges of being young is that you get to fail and try again. You have the opportunity to try and make mistakes. But I also know that young people like you also face great pressure from family and society. Family expectations, peer pressure when you study in an environment with talented and capable young people. Life will be very difficult if you try to complete everything at once. Listen to yourself and if necessary, give yourself a break if you feel like everything is too much. And then you will have enough inner strength to jump further. And don't forget, on your journey, there will always be the companionship of teachers and senior students.

At the ceremony, the school's leadership awarded certificates of merit and badges to 7 new national valedictorians, 7 new school-wide valedictorians, 7 new Hanoi Headquarters valedictorians and students and student teams who won international and national awards, as well as outstanding students with excellent achievements in studying, scientific research and extracurricular activities in the 2022-2023 school year.

The highlight of the Ceremony was the traditional flag handover ceremony from the representative of the Valedictorian and Outstanding Students of Class 58 graduating in 2023 to the 5 Valedictorians representing Class 62, who have just marked their beginning at the common home of Foreign Trade University and will certainly always maintain the flame of enthusiasm and passion to learn, to commit, to mature and to confidently continue writing the most beautiful pages in the journey and history of Foreign Trade University. The ceremony represents the continuation of the tradition of generations of Foreign Trade University, as well as the determination of new students ready to take on new challenges in the upcoming 4-year university journey.

The ceremony also brought joyful and exciting moments, starting the new school year with exciting performances imbued with the colors of Foreign Trade University such as: the dance performance of the GRYTROLLS team of the Dancing Club, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the School - Champion of the Dance Competition Category of Region I at the Vietnam Student Sports Tournament - Vietnam University Games (VUG) 2023, National Championship VUG Dance Open Cup 2023; Performance dedicated to students of Course 62 by senior students. And especially the special performance of the new students of Course 62, although they have only practiced for a short time, they have clearly shown the "quality" of Foreign Trade University students./.
