On April 20, Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School ( Thanh Hoa City) organized activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, launching the movement "Contribute a book to read a thousand books", and an exhibition of books and pictures with the theme "I love my homeland's sea and islands".

Opening the program, Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Lan - Principal of Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School said that the reading movement has long become a habit, a beautiful cultural feature among all staff, teachers and students of the school. In the 2022-2023 school year, Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School launched the movement "Contribute a book to read a thousand books", after only 4 days of launching, the whole school contributed 1,890 books. The school plans to replace the old books in the library with the donated books, and at the same time, build a shared bookshelf in the school yard to spread the reading culture and pride, love for the homeland and country and enrich the school library's bookshelf. In particular, sharing good books among students and giving books to peers in difficult areas.
At the program, students listened to two speakers: Doctor, poet Do Anh Vu and poet, journalist Lu Mai share about the meaning and importance of reading, how to read and memorize effectively with keywords, the psychology before "stepping" into a book, how to cherish and preserve the love for the pages of books...
In particular, at the program, students and teachers also listened to poet and journalist Lu Mai share about the exhibition of books and paintings with the theme "I love my homeland's sea and islands"... The 30 works selected for the exhibition are slices, frozen moments of beautiful landscapes, people, offshore activities, exploitation and fishing of fishermen; images of officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 3 Command conducting training work... The exhibition aims to enhance patriotism, national pride and awareness of preserving and protecting the territorial integrity of every Vietnamese citizen.
