Decision of General Secretary and President To Lam to posthumously award the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal to Lieutenant Colonel Tang Ba Hung

Lieutenant Colonel Tang Ba Hung was a driver of Platoon 2, Company 1, Transport Brigade 653, Logistics Department of Military Region 3. On September 11, following orders from his superiors, comrade Tang Ba Hung and his teammates helped people in Truong Son town, An Lao district, Hai Phong city overcome the consequences of storm No. 3. While working with teammates and people to trim and clear fallen trees, Lieutenant Colonel Hung was electrocuted. His teammates and people gave him first aid and quickly took him to Kien An Hospital, Hai Phong city, but he did not survive and died at the hospital.

Previously, on September 12, Hai Duong Electronic Newspaper published an article about the selfless example of Lieutenant Colonel Tang Ba Hung when he was on duty to help people overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 in Truong Son town, An Lao district, Hai Phong city. His sacrifice contributed to further enhancing the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" of the Vietnam People's Army in the new situation.
