Japanese media assesses Vietnam as demonstrating political stability

Sankei newspaper quoted an article by Kyodo news agency stating that comrade To Lam was a supporter of the anti-corruption campaign of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong when he held the position of Minister of Public Security .

According to a VNA reporter in Tokyo, on August 3, Japanese media continued to publish articles about the election results of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and personnel work at the 13th Party Central Committee Conference.

NHK commented, "With the attention of many countries, including the US and China, Vietnam is aiming to demonstrate political stability by smoothly carrying out the appointment of senior leaders."

Sankei newspaper quoted an article by Kyodo news agency with the headline: "Vietnam appoints To Lam as new General Secretary, backing predecessor's anti-corruption campaign."

The article commented that Comrade To Lam was a supporter of the anti-corruption campaign of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong when he held the position of Minister of Public Security.

Similarly, the Yomiuri newspaper commented that as Minister of Public Security, Mr. To Lam played a key role in implementing the anti-corruption campaign.

Regarding Vietnam's foreign policy, Kyodo commented that Vietnam's foreign policy will not have any major changes at the present time.

Responding to a question from NHK news agency, General Secretary To Lam stated: "We will deepen friendship with all countries. This is our foreign policy and will not change," emphasizing the intention to continue multilateral diplomacy./.
