According to the Center, on May 31, the Central region will have hot weather, some places will have extremely hot weather. The highest temperature is commonly 35-36 degrees, some places will be over 36 degrees such as: Nhu Xuan (Thanh Hoa) 36.7 degrees, Quy Chau and Do Luong (Nghe An) 37.2 degrees, Hue 36.8 degrees, Phan Rang ( Ninh Thuan ) 36.9 degrees, Phan Ri (Binh Thuan) 37 degrees,... The lowest relative humidity is commonly 55-65%.

In the North, there is localized heat, the highest temperature in some places is over 35 degrees such as: Phu Yen (Son La) 37.6 degrees, Mai Chau ( Hoa Binh ) 37.2 degrees. The lowest relative humidity is commonly 60-70%.

Forecasting the heat wave in the next 24-48 hours, the Center said that on June 1-2, in the Northern region, there will be hot weather, some places will be extremely hot with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees, some places will be over 38 degrees, the lowest relative humidity commonly ranges from 50-55%; in the Central region, there will be hot weather, some places will be extremely hot and especially extremely hot with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 36-38 degrees, some places will be over 39 degrees; the lowest relative humidity commonly ranges from 45-50%.

According to the Center, due to the effects of heat and intense heat combined with low humidity in the air, there is a high risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased demand for electricity and the risk of forest fires. In addition, heat can also cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke in the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.

The center noted that the forecast temperature in the heat bulletin and the actual felt temperature outside can differ by 2-4 degrees, or even higher depending on the conditions of the surface such as concrete and asphalt.
