On the morning of August 18 in Ho Chi Minh City, writer Nhat Phuong (Truc Phuong) and the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association held a discussion and launched the epic poem From Two Sides of the Sun - Epic of Earth and Humanity , 1,118 pages long, written by writer Truc Phuong.

Attending the event were poet Nguyen Quang Thieu - Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association; Writer Bich Ngan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Writers Association, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association; Writer Bui Anh Tan - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, Editor-in-Chief of the Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts magazine; Writer Tram Huong - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, Head of the Creative Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, along with guests and poetry lovers.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association Bich Ngan affirmed: "Writer Truc Phuong is a strong prose writer of Southern literature. From his birthplace in Binh Hoa Phuoc commune (Long Ho district, Vinh Long), he followed the revolutionary path at the age of 14 with the birth name Nguyen Minh Nghiep. Through training in bombs and bullets and experience in peace , communist soldier Nguyen Minh Nghiep became writer Truc Phuong with works loved by colleagues and the public such as: Twin Sadau trees, Call of a thousand years of the sea, The last horse carriage, The sun is not of the sun, The birds do not sing at dawn...
Speaking at the opening ceremony, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association Bich Ngan affirmed: "Writer Truc Phuong is a leading prose writer of Southern literature."
Many members of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association attended and shared joy with the new brainchild of writer Truc Phuong.
Talking about his new work, writer Bich Ngan emphasized: " From the two sides of the sun is a journey to explore both narrative and lyrical elements in which the author sincerely expresses his heart: The calamities of the wind and rain keep coming and raging/The Earth still endures with kindness/Losing distant brothers, hoping to meet close neighbors . In addition, the epic poem From the two sides of the sun also mentions the formation of the world we live in. From the West to the East, from the lands of Egypt, Babylon, Persia, Greece, India to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States dynasties of China. From the mythological stories of Apollo, Achilles, Hercules, Siddhartha... to the tragic love stories of Dac Ky - Tru Vuong, Bao Tu - Chu Vuong, Tay Thi - Pham Lai....".
According to poet Le Thieu Nhon: " From Two Sides of the Sun promises to set a record for the Vietnamese epic genre, because volume 1 already has a capacity of 1,100 pages."
Mr. Le Thieu Nhon said: "The characteristic of an epic is its length, but the quality of an epic is not only its length. From two sides of the sun through dynasties, myths, doctrines, and stories to explain the rise and fall of the world we live in. In the midst of the dusty memories and mossy nostalgia, author Nhat Phuong worries about each small life: " The yellowed poem/ Just transformed by a small fire/ A free woman looks at the smoke rising/ Sad and absent-minded ".

Writer Tram Huong was moved: "I don't mean to compare Thoi Hieu and Truc Phuong because each person's natural literary talent is different, the social status that poets live in is also different, but there is one thing they both have in common. That is emotion. Only with emotion can poets write poems. The ancients wrote poems on the walls of the tower. Truc Phuong locked herself in a study full of books, struggling with an old computer to type out thousands of pages of poetry."
