From July 1, stop all flights to Vinh airport.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just sent a document to the People's Committee of Nghe An province and related units in the industry regarding the temporary closure of Vinh International Airport to carry out package No. 11 of construction, supply and installation of equipment, under the project of repairing runways and taxiways - Vinh Airport.

According to the plan, the temporary suspension of Vinh Airport's operations will last from 0:00 on July 1 to 23:59 on December 31, 2025. The Civil Aviation Authority requires the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) and Vinh Airport to fully comply with legal regulations related to investment and construction during the temporary closure of the airport for construction purposes.

At the same time, ACV is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the contractor to ensure that the construction process strictly complies with security, safety, fire prevention and fighting and environmental sanitation plans. Currently, Vinh airport serves an average of more than 1.5 million passengers per year, playing an important role in connecting the North Central region with major economic and cultural centers in the country such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and expanding international flights to Laos and Thailand.
