Quang Nam forms duty-free zone at southern gateway

Notably, the construction zoning plan (scale 1/2,000) of the duty-free zone will be associated with Tam Hoa Port Area (in Chu Lai Open Economic Zone). Here, the duty-free zone is established with an area of about 744.04 hectares, in Tam Hoa commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.

The location of the duty-free zone is adjacent to the Truong Giang River in the northeast, An Hoa Bay in the southeast and southwest, Vo Chi Cong Street and the planned land strip for protective forest in the northwest.

According to the approved planning, most of the land is aquaculture land, with about 230 households living there (will be relocated and resettled). In the planning, there will be 3 key areas: Public service center, commercial service center; Industrial park; Port and logistics area...

The duty-free zone has two main gateways. Gateway No. 1 is the western gateway connecting from Tam Hoa urban area. Gateway No. 2 is the southern gateway, connecting to Tam Hiep Industrial Park, Chu Lai - Truong Hai Port and Logistics Area through Tam Hoa - Tam Hiep Wharf Bridge. This is an important connection route of Tam Hoa Duty-free Zone with Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway, National Highway 1A and with the cargo station of the future high-speed railway.

In addition to the duty-free zone, the People's Council of Quang Nam province approved the construction zoning plan (scale 1/2,000) of the Tam Hoa - Tam Tien urban residential, service and tourism area with an area of about 1,678.41 hectares.

Tam Hoa - Tam Tien urban residential, service and tourism area will have 6 main functional areas. Including the prosperous administrative - financial center area; sports park and mixed-use station center; Tourist service area and sea square; Western ecological urban park area; Memories Park semi-natural ecological urban park area; Riverside service and tourism mixed-use area.

According to the People's Council of Quang Nam province, the approval of the planning of the above areas ensures compliance with the requirements of the functional area construction zoning plan according to legal regulations.
