A series of Khanh Hoa energy projects were approved for the national list.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has just approved the List of important national projects and works, key to the energy sector. Accordingly, Khanh Hoa has become the focus of many strategic projects, including nuclear power, pumped storage hydropower and renewable energy infrastructure, affirming the important role of the locality in national energy security.

Among the approved projects and works, the Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant and Ninh Thuan 2 Nuclear Power Plant are strategic projects with large total capacity and advanced technology. Each plant has an expected capacity of 2,000 to 3,200 MW, operating time in the period 2030 - 2035; these projects are under the direction of the National Nuclear Power Steering Committee.

The Bac Ai Pumped Storage Hydropower Project (1,200 MW) and the Phuoc Hoa Pumped Storage Hydropower Project (1,200 MW) are also on the priority list, expected to operate in the period 2029 - 2030; these are large pumped storage hydropower projects, playing a role in energy storage and stabilizing the country's power system. In addition, the Ca Na LNG Thermal Power Plant Project with a capacity of 1,500 MW was also approved by the Prime Minister , expected to operate before 2030. The Ca Na Power Plant LNG Warehouse is also included in the list of important national projects and works, key to the energy sector and expected to operate in the period 2025 - 2030.

To ensure the release of huge capacity from power sources, especially nuclear power sources, power transmission projects in Khanh Hoa are also prioritized. The power grid connecting Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 Nuclear Power Plants is being built, expected to operate in the period 2031 - 2035; The 500kV Bac Ai - Ninh Son Pumped Storage Hydropower Line is being deployed in the period 2025 - 2030. In addition, the Ninh Son 500kV Transformer Station Project and the Ninh Son - Chon Thanh 500kV Line with a capacity of 2,700 MVA will be operational in 2027...

Not only stopping at electricity production, Khanh Hoa is also oriented to become an energy service center when the Khanh Hoa Renewable Energy Service and Industrial Center Project is included in the list, expected to operate in 2030...
