On the development journey of Dong Nai province, private enterprises are constantly adding bright colors to the economic picture, making worthy contributions to the common prosperity of the province.

Private economy - lever for development

Our Party identifies the private sector as one of the important driving forces of the economy. In Dong Nai, one of the localities with a dynamic investment environment in the country, the private sector has affirmed its position as an important force in the province's socio-economic development. The private sector contributes to reducing unemployment, economic growth and improving people's lives. Dong Nai currently has more than 69,000 registered enterprises with a total capital of more than 750 trillion VND. The private sector is creating significant added value and creating jobs for many workers, becoming the main driving force for economic growth and social development of the locality.

Not only developing in scale, KTTN in Dong Nai also demonstrates the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, the desire to get rich legitimately and contribute to the community. Currently, Dong Nai has 52 industrial parks (IPs) with a total area of about 17,500 hectares; of which, 45 IPs have operational projects.

Mr. Niikawa Kiyoshi, Director of Megatec Co., Ltd., said: “Our company has been operating in Chon Thanh 1 Industrial Park for 17 years. I find the investment environment here very favorable, the government always creates favorable conditions to support business development. Life here is great, and the people are friendly.”

Director of Kim Tin MDF Joint Stock Company (located in Dong Phu commune, specializing in the production and trading of wood products, especially MDF boards and industrial boards) Pham Tien Thuat said: "The support of the locality has created a mechanism and direction for businesses to always comply with the legal corridor and standardize their activities. The accompanying policies as well as the administrative procedures have helped businesses stand firm in difficult times."

Along with attractive investment attraction policies, Dong Nai also promotes trade promotion support, connecting supply and demand to expand market participation and promote fair competition among economic sectors. The modern and synchronous investment in transport infrastructure is expected to create new momentum for Dong Nai's development in the coming time. The expressways, seaports, and airports that have been and are being completed will contribute to eliminating traffic connection "bottlenecks"; at the same time, creating new "runways" for the province to achieve its development "take-off" goal. In particular, key traffic routes and provincial roads, district roads, and inter-commune roads have been asphalted. The province is coordinating with ministries, branches and localities in the region to gradually complete a number of key regional connectivity projects, such as: Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project, Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City, Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway, Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway... At the same time, completing industrial infrastructure, industrial clusters, irrigation... to create momentum for the private economy to develop more strongly.

Stories from practice

Hung Nhon Group Joint Stock Company (Thuan Loi Commune) is a leading agricultural corporation in Vietnam. From a small-scale chicken farm, raising by households in the 2000s, Hung Nhon has now become a large corporation, affirming the strength of the KTTN. The corporation currently owns 16 member companies with about 1,000 hectares of farms in the Southeast and Central Highlands regions. Of which, the enterprise's broiler farm system alone is supplying the market with more than 3 million chickens/year, the laying hen farm system provides more than 130 million eggs/year... In addition, the corporation also has farms raising 14,000 breeding pigs and 375,000 commercial pigs/year.

Over the past 30 years, from a country exporting a small amount of raw cashews, Vietnam has become the world's leading cashew nut exporter. Since 2006, the Vietnamese cashew industry has maintained its position as the world's number 1 cashew nut exporter. The presence of Dong Nai cashew nuts has contributed to bringing Vietnamese cashew nuts to more than 100 countries and territories around the world.

With the position of the “cashew capital” of the country, Dong Nai currently has about 200 thousand hectares of cashew and hundreds of private enterprises and cashew processing facilities operating day and night. Not only creating jobs for thousands of local workers, these enterprises also play a leading role, linking farmers in the sustainable cashew production value chain. Private enterprises in the cashew industry not only bring in large foreign currency revenue for the locality, but also contribute to affirming the reputation of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market.

Truong Giang Phat Company Limited (Long Binh Ward) specializes in producing, processing, and trading fresh, clean, and high-quality food and pork, serving the health of the community. The company has invested in many modern equipment such as: freezers, cutting machines, and meat grinders imported from famous and prestigious brands in the world with the desire to provide the market with fresh, delicious, and quality meat products at reasonable prices. On average, the company produces about 1,800 tons of pork per year, widely distributed in many large supermarket systems nationwide.

“In order for private companies to develop, we hope the province will have more substantial mechanisms, such as a fund to support private enterprise development, shorten licensing time, and support innovation. Businesses really hope to accompany the development of the province,” said Mr. Vu Van Tu, Director of Truong Giang Phat Company Limited.

Powering private enterprise

The mark of private enterprises in the transformation of Dong Nai in recent years can be clearly seen. From pioneering enterprises in the fields of high-tech agriculture, agricultural and food processing to supporting industrial enterprises, garment industry, wood, logistics... All are opening up new development space for the province's industry and agriculture and demonstrating a generation of dynamic, brave and ambitious private enterprises.
