From July 2025, increase 10% of electricity support for poor households

On May 23, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 988/UBND-KTTH, requesting the People's Committees of districts and cities to implement the level of electricity support for poor households and social policy households in Hoa Binh province.

Accordingly, the electricity consumption support standard for each poor household and policy household is only entitled to one level of electricity consumption support for daily life as prescribed in Circular No. 190/2014/TT-BTC, dated December 11, 2014 of the Ministry of Finance, which is 30kwh/household/month. The support level is implemented according to the provisions of Decision No. 1279/QD-BCT, dated May 9, 2025 of the Minister of Industry and Trade regulating electricity prices. Accordingly, the electricity price support level is applied according to the Electricity Price Appendix in Section 4.1 of the retail price of household electricity level 1 issued with Decision No. 1279/QD-BCT, in which the unit price of level 1 from 0 - 50 kwh is 1,984 VND/kwh (excluding value added tax). The support level from May to the end of June 2025 is 64,300 VND. The support level from July 2025 onwards, applying the 10% value-added tax rate is 65,500 VND, or according to the Government's value-added tax rate calculation regulations in each period.

The subjects, conditions and methods of support are implemented according to current regulations of the State. The Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of districts and cities to review and pay electricity support funds for poor households and social policy households in accordance with regulations.
