On August 23, 2024, the Youth Union of PTSC Petroleum Exploitation Services Joint Stock Company (PPS) coordinated with the Radio and Television Station of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and philanthropists to carry out the program "Connecting Love" in Dat Do district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. The program "Connecting Love" is within the framework of the 2024 Youth Union and Youth Movement work plan of PPS Youth Union, and at the same time responds to the 2024 theme of "Year of Youth Volunteers" launched by the Central Youth Union.
During the journey of "Connecting love", PPS Youth Union, Radio - Television Station of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, philanthropists, donors, and charitable organizations inside and outside the province visited and presented many gifts to support the family of Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Yen at Group 13, Thanh Long Quarter, Dat Do Town, Dat Do District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.
The family of Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Yen is a particularly difficult household in the area. Ms. Yen and her husband mainly work as farmers and plow for a living. When the harvest season ends, the off-season is also the time when the family has no income. Because it is difficult to find a job in the countryside, Ms. Yen stays at home to peel cashew shells for hire and do housework. In 2024, Ms. Yen discovered that she had a serious illness at a young age, and was worried about her young children's education. The cost of radiation therapy amounted to hundreds of millions of VND, which was beyond her family's means. Sympathizing with the difficult circumstances of Ms. Yen's family, the PPS Youth Union supported part of the treatment costs and took care of the family. Although the gift was not large, it showed the love and sharing of PPS youth. Through the program "Connecting Love", the PPS Youth Union hopes to spread to the community to care and share with less fortunate circumstances, adding motivation to work together to rise up in life.
