As predicted by experts, the familiar faces of Vietnamese women's volleyball who have just participated in the AVC Nations Cup and VTV Cup 2025 were selected by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet to prepare for the 2 stages of SEA V-League 2025.
The list includes main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Phuong; opposite setter Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh; middle blocker Nguyen Thi Trinh, Le Thanh Thuy, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Pham Thi Hien; setter Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Vo Thi Kim Thoa; libero Nguyen Khanh Dang, Nguyen Thi Ninh Anh, Luu Thi Ly Ly.
From this list, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet eliminated 1 athlete (Libero position) before the Vietnamese women's volleyball team entered the tournament. Currently, Thanh Thuy and her teammates are actively practicing to prepare for the regional tournament.
According to the competition schedule, the first round of SEA V-League 2025 will take place in Thailand from August 1-3 and the second round will take place in Vietnam ( Ninh Binh ) from August 8-10. The Vietnamese volleyball team is the current runner-up of the tournament.
In another development, on July 20, the list of the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team participating in the 2025 U21 World Championship was officially announced. This is the first time the Vietnamese youth team has participated in a world- class tournament, taking place from August 7-17 in Indonesia. In this tournament, Vietnam is in the same group with Indonesia, Argentina, Serbia, Puerto Rico and Canada.
