On the evening of August 31, the final match of the VTV Cup 2024 International Women's Volleyball Tournament between the Vietnamese women's volleyball team and Korabelka Club ended. With outstanding height and good individual technique, the European representative won with a score of 3-0.

Korabelka Club celebrates victory.

Entering the match, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team was cautious against a strong opponent like Korabelka. However, the players still created an overwhelming game. Bich Tuyen, Le Thanh Thuy and Nguyen Thi Trinh were the strikers who brought the advantage of leading the score for Vietnam. At one point, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team scored a series of points and led 21-15.

However, Korabelka often served close to the net, making it difficult for Vietnam to counterattack. The situation changed continuously, and main striker Korabelka broke the deadlock to win the opening set 29-27 against Vietnam.

Dismayed after the unfortunate loss, the Vietnamese team faced many difficulties in the second set. On the contrary, Korabelka played better and better. With a team full of stars, Korabelka quickly created a 5-point lead. The poor first-set receiving situations of the Vietnamese team created easy scoring opportunities for the Russian players. Although coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet brought on Nguyet Anh, a good back-row defender, the game still did not improve.

The other team seemed to have studied the Vietnamese team's playing style very carefully, making it difficult for us to deploy tactical moves. The Russian team scored important points in succession, ending the second set with a score of 25-15, temporarily leading 2-0.

In set 3, with high fighting spirit, the Russian players continued to impose their game on the Vietnamese women's team. The hopes of Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team were soon extinguished, when Korabelka led 11-3 after the first 14 points. The gap even increased to 16-6, before the Russian team won 25-15 in the deciding set.

In the end, Korabelka overwhelmingly defeated the Vietnamese women's volleyball team with a score of 3-0 (29-27, 25-15, 25-15), winning the VTV Cup 2024 championship.

Although not winning the championship, VTV Cup 2024 still brought valuable experiences to the Vietnamese team./.
