Commendation and reward for teachers and students who won Gold Medals at the Abu Rayhan Biruni International Chemistry Olympiad in 2025

On the morning of June 23, at Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted (Phu Ly City), a conference was held to commend and reward students and teachers who trained excellent students at the Abu Rayhan Biruni International Chemistry Olympiad in 2025. Attending the commendation conference were comrades: Dinh Thi Lua, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Xuan Duong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Education and Training, and the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education.

At the Abu Rayhan Biruni International Chemistry Olympiad 2025, Do Trung Kien, a 12th grade Chemistry major student at Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted, won the Gold Medal. Teachers Dinh Thi Xoan and Vu Truong Giang are the ones who directly taught and trained Do Trung Kien.

Comrade Dinh Thi Lua, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered a congratulatory speech at the commendation conference.

Congratulating and sharing the joy with the achievements and results of the provincialeducation sector, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Lua affirmed: This is a special achievement, very proud, when the quality of education in Ha Nam has gradually improved. Ha Nam is always in the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest high school graduation exam scores in the country. In the national high school excellent student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year, Ha Nam has 63 students winning prizes (including 9 second prizes, 24 third prizes and 30 consolation prizes).

In 2025, Ha Nam had 2 students participating in the selection exam for international and regional Olympic teams. Notably, in the 2025 Abu Rayhan Biruni International Chemistry Olympiad held in Uzbekistan, Do Trung Kien and 3 other students were selected to participate in the exam. At this exam, all 4 Vietnamese students won medals, including 3 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal. Do Trung Kien not only won the Gold Medal, but was also the best candidate of the whole delegation with the highest score.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Lua and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Xuan Duong presented flowers and Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to teachers and students.

Do Trung Kien's achievements are a great honor, not only for him personally, for the teachers who directly taught and trained him, but also for the Ha Nam Education sector and all the people in the province. He has brought glory to Ha Nam, to the country and affirmed Vietnamese intelligence in the international arena. This is a clear demonstration of the studious spirit, persistent efforts, will to rise up and the desire to conquer knowledge of the young generation of Ha Nam. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes that Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted will continue to promote its role as a core unit in the work of discovering, selecting and training excellent students of the province, maintaining the tradition of good teaching - good learning, contributing to glorifying the heroic and civilized homeland of Ha Nam.

Representatives of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education commended students and teachers at the conference.

At the conference, teacher Dinh Thi Xoan, teacher Vu Truong Giang and student Do Trung Kien received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; awards from the Department of Education and Training, and the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education.
