The Vietnamese women's team arrived in Auckland (New Zealand) after a journey lasting nearly a day and began moving to Napier - the venue for a friendly match with the New Zealand women's team.
Previously, the flight carrying the Vietnamese women's team departed from Noi Bai airport ( Hanoi ) at 12:35 on July 5, transiting in Singapore for 5 hours before connecting to Auckland city (New Zealand).
Early morning of July 6 (Hanoi time), coach Mai Duc Chung and his team arrived in New Zealand, ready for the journey at the 2023 World Cup.

After entering New Zealand, the Vietnamese women's team was welcomed by the 2023 World Cup Organizing Committee and facilitated with quick entry procedures in Auckland city and began the third flight to Napier city - the venue for the friendly match with host New Zealand. Here, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will stay at the 5-star Rydges hotel.
In New Zealand, the Vietnamese women's team has 2 more weeks to prepare, with 2 friendly matches against New Zealand (July 10) and Spain (July 14) before entering the 2023 World Cup journey.
The 2023 Women's World Cup will take place from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand. Coach Mai Duc Chung's team will compete in New Zealand, facing defending champions the United States (July 22), Portugal (July 27) and the Netherlands (August 1).
