Tuyen Quang warns of high risk of flash floods, landslides

According to the Tuyen Quang Province Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of the weakened low pressure area from storm No. 11, on the morning of October 7, there was heavy rain and thunderstorms in the province, with rainfall ranging from 50-100mm.

Due to prolonged heavy rain, Tuyen Quang province warns of the risk of flash floods and landslides in all communes and wards.

Warning, in the next 6 hours, all 124 communes and wards in the province are at very high risk of flash floods on rivers and streams; flash floods, landslides in steep terrain, areas with weak and unstable soil and rock structures, construction works and flooding in low-lying areas, along rivers and streams, and urban flooding.

Warning level of natural disaster risk due to flash floods, landslides, land subsidence due to heavy rain or level 3 flow.

On the morning of October 7, in Tuyen Quang province, localized flooding also occurred on many roads in Minh Xuan, An Tuong, and Nong Tien wards.

On the morning of October 7, many roads in Minh Xuan ward were deeply flooded.

Localized flooding at many points on the roads with depths ranging from 0.5m to 1m caused local traffic jams. Along with that, water also flooded houses, causing damage to the property of many households.

Faced with complicated weather developments, Tuyen Quang province has directed all communes and wards to prepare plans, forces and means to respond when natural disasters occur.
