Mr. Trong said that in 2024, his family received support of 50 million VND to build a new house. In addition, his family received a loan of 40 million VND from the Son Duong District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office from the housing construction program for poor households. With the family's capital and the support money, Mr. Trong's family was able to build a new, spacious and solid house. With the Party and State's support to remove temporary houses, his family no longer has to worry about food and accommodation, can work and produce with peace of mind, and escape poverty.

Mr. Ha Kim Quoc Sy, Party Secretary, Head of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Phuc Thinh Commune, Chiem Hoa District, said that this year, Phuc Thinh Commune has 65 temporary and dilapidated houses that need to be eliminated. The Commune has directed forces to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles in land allocation and site clearance for households to build houses, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, union members, association members and people to join in the spirit of "whoever has something to help"; linking the implementation of "3 together" with supporting working days to help poor households and policy families build houses. At the same time, assigning tasks to village cadres to be responsible for propaganda, mobilization, and finding solutions to support households to build new houses.
In 2025, Yen Son district strives to support the construction and repair of 1,811 houses, of which 1,248 houses will be rebuilt and 563 houses will be repaired. Mr. Le Quang Toan, Vice Chairman of Yen Son District People's Committee, said that in order to completely eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, Yen Son district has established a Steering Committee, issued a specific implementation plan; assigned members of the Steering Committee to directly direct the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses; stepped up propaganda work; regularly inspected, monitored, and urged the progress of house construction as well as grasped the situation and difficulties; focused on mobilizing and prioritizing resources to support the construction of houses for poor households, near-poor households, and policy families.

Strive to start construction of 100% of remaining temporary and dilapidated houses before June 30
To achieve the goal, by August 30, 2025, Tuyen Quang will complete the elimination of 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses. The Provincial Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses has issued many documents directing and promoting activities; directly calling for and mobilizing support and contributions to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province; guiding, inspecting, supervising, monitoring, and urging relevant agencies, units, and localities to implement the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.
According to the report of the Working Group assisting the Provincial Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, by March 22, 2025, the whole province had 4,602/6,928 temporary and dilapidated houses started, under construction and completed and put into use, reaching 66.43% of the plan. Of which, 3,060 houses were newly built and 1,542 houses were repaired. The total support budget is over 228 billion VND and 78,984 working days. This is the time when the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses has increased the fastest since the beginning of the year.
The Provincial Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses requests departments, branches and localities in the province to continue to strengthen the direction, implementation, inspection and supervision of the implementation progress; step up propaganda, create a change in awareness from cadres, civil servants, soldiers of the armed forces to all classes of people about the meaning of the program; mobilize agencies, businesses, philanthropists and all classes of people to join. Strive to start construction of 100% of the remaining temporary and dilapidated houses by June 30, 2025; strive to complete the elimination of 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by August 30, 2025.
In 2025, the whole Tuyen Quang province has 6,928 temporary and dilapidated houses that need support for repair and new construction, of which 4,525 will be newly built and 2,403 will be repaired; the estimated budget for support is over 343 billion VND.
