Propaganda to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

(laichau.gov.vn) To effectively deploy and carry out propaganda activities towards the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department issued Instruction No. 20-HD/BTGDVTU, emphasizing the key content:

I- PROPAGANDA CONTENT

1. Affirming the stature, historical significance, and contemporary value of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam as a brilliant milestone in history, opening a new era for the Vietnamese people. The Declaration of Independence read by President Ho Chi Minh at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945 not only gave birth to the new Vietnam but also affirmed the national rights and human rights of our people before the whole world ; Our people, from the status of slaves, became masters of the country, masters of society, masters of their own destiny.

2. Causes of victory and lessons learned; creative application of the lessons of the August Revolution in the struggle for national liberation and reunification as well as in the cause of building, developing and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. Honoring the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam as the decisive factor in all victories of the revolution, from the August Revolution to the cause of protecting and developing the country today; emphasizing the strategic, creative and sensitive thinking of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh in seizing opportunities and leading the General Uprising to success. Continuing to deeply affirm that the revolutionary cause is of the people, by the people and for the people; it is the people who made the historic victories.

3. The Party's platform, guidelines and Ho Chi Minh's thought on national independence are closely linked to socialism. Affirming that "National independence is a prerequisite for implementing socialism and socialism is the solid foundation for national independence. Building socialism and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland are two strategic tasks closely related to each other".

4. Outstanding achievements after 80 years of building, protecting and developing the country in the fields of politics, economy, culture, society, national defense, security, foreign affairs..., especially after nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation policy initiated and led by the Party; affirming that our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today. Clarifying the inheritance and promotion of the value of the August Revolution in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; at the same time highlighting the great contributions and contributions of the entire Party, people and army and the valuable assistance of international friends during the revolutionary stages.

5. The role and development of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam) in organizing the implementation of the Party's platform, policies and guidelines. It is especially necessary to clarify the institutions, organization, functions and effectiveness and efficiency of operations in 80 years of national construction and defense, international integration; the results of the arrangement, streamlining, and merger of administrative units, and the implementation of two-level local government in the past; especially the achievements in building the Vietnamese socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people, and for the people.

6. Highlight the tradition of patriotism, revolutionary heroism, the spirit of great national unity, international solidarity; national pride, the will to be self-reliant and self-reliant. Affirm the strength of great national unity as the decisive factor of the August Revolution and an important driving force in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland today. Strongly spread patriotic emulation movements, promote the role of all classes of people, especially among the youth, intellectuals, artists; arouse the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.

7. Fight against and refute false, hostile information and viewpoints that distort history, deny the value and significance of the August Revolution, the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the leadership role of the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and the development path of Vietnam; protect the Party's ideological foundation, protect the socialist regime and national and ethnic interests.

II- FORM AND TIME OF PROPAGANDA

1. Form of propaganda

- Propaganda on mass media, electronic information portals, electronic information pages; on the internet, social networks (zalo, facebook, youtube, tiktok, ...); press publications, focusing on propaganda on social networking platforms with large interactions...

- Oral propaganda through reporters at all levels, grassroots propagandists; history competitions...

- Visual propaganda (banners, slogans, billboards, posters...).

- Propaganda in regular meetings of Party cells; socio-political organizations; village, hamlet, and residential group meetings; during flag salute hours and class activities at educational and training institutions; political theory training and fostering programs...

- Organize cultural, artistic, sports activities, art performances; activities of "Repaying gratitude", "Drinking water, remembering its source", seminars, exchanges, meetings, traditional talks, journeys to the source... associated with propaganda to carry out political tasks; review and renovate urban areas, residential areas, information clusters, propaganda, billboards, replace old slogans, no longer suitable; guide agencies, units and people to hang Party flags, national flags in advance during the anniversary.

2. Propaganda time: Propaganda from now until the end of the event, intensive propaganda from August 15, 2025 to September 5, 2025.
