List of U23 Vietnam team
Taking advantage of the FIFA Days in June 2023, the Vietnam U23 team will gather and train with their senior national team players. This training session of Vietnam U23 is aimed at qualifying for the 2024 U23 Asian Cup, so Coach Troussier wants to take advantage of this opportunity to test out more "new recruits".
After the 32nd SEA Games, the Vietnam U23 team also lost the opportunity to compete when the Panda Cup 2023 international friendly tournament in China was postponed. However, the team still maintains its plan to concentrate and practice to prepare for important tasks in the coming time.
Except for the absence of Le Van Do and Nguyen Thanh Nhan due to injury, in this training session, besides the key players in the squad participating in SEA Games 32, coach Philippe Troussier also gave many new faces the opportunity to join the national team. Notable among them are goalkeeper Nguyen Van Viet, defender Nguyen Duc Anh, midfielder Hoang Van Toan and striker Vo Nguyen Hoang.

Goalkeeper Nguyen Van Viet has been in impressive form, starting in the last two rounds of V-League 2023 for Song Lam Nghe An Club. Meanwhile, Nguyen Duc Anh is a key player in the U20 Vietnam squad competing in the 2023 U20 Asian Cup, while Hoang Van Toan and Vo Nguyen Hoang are members of the U22 Vietnam team that won the 2022 Southeast Asian U22 Championship.
In addition, 18-year-old Vietnamese-American player Nguyen An Khanh, who is playing for the U19 Sigma Olomouc Club of the Czech Republic, has also been called up to the Vietnam U23 team. This young talent impressed coach Troussier with his versatility, being able to play well as a striker, left winger and central midfielder.
Previously, An Khanh was a regular starter for U19 Sigma Olomouc and many times played for Team B in the Czech Republic First Division. Up to now, this overseas Vietnamese player has scored 7 goals and 20 assists and is a member of the Czech Republic U18 team.
According to the plan, the U23 Vietnam team will gather from June 5 in Hanoi . During this period, the team will have 2 friendly matches, facing the Hanoi Police Club on June 14 at the PVF Center and competing with the Hai Phong Club on June 17 at Lach Tray Stadium.
