Samsung's Micro RGB TV Honored as “Invention of the Year”

This is a recognition of Samsung's relentless efforts in shaping the future of display technology and audiovisual experiences.

Three Samsung TV models, including the Micro RGB TV 2025, The Frame Pro and The Premiere 5, have just been selected by TIME magazine for the list of "Best Inventions of 2025".

Among them, Micro RGB TV was honored in the Consumer Electronics category, impressing with its outstanding color reproduction ability thanks to the ultra-small RGB backlight structure - including red, green and blue diodes arranged at extremely high density on a giant 115-inch screen. The product achieves 100% BT.2020 color gamut coverage - the standard announced by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) - and is certified Micro RGB Precise Color by the VDE Testing Organization (Germany) for its outstanding display accuracy.

The Frame Pro, part of the Lifestyle TV line, stands out with its ability to display paintings and photography from the Art Store even when the TV is off. The device is equipped with a One Connect Box wireless connection box, optimizing the display space with a neat, sophisticated design, without revealing cables. The Premiere 5 is a compact 4K touch projector, providing sharp image quality and flexibility in modern living spaces.

The inclusion of three Samsung TV products in the “Invention of the Year” list continues the brand’s impressive streak. Previously, TIME honored the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Samsung’s microplastic filter (2023), as well as the Neo QLED 8K TV and Music Frame picture frame speaker (2024) on this list.
