The rate of machine planting and pesticide spraying by drones is increasing. The whole province has 38 facilities producing tray rice seedlings and machine planting concentrated in the districts of Binh Giang, Cam Giang, Ninh Giang, etc.

Machine-transplanted rice has lower costs and higher productivity than manual transplanting due to reduced costs of seeds, labor, and pesticides. The economic efficiency of machine-transplanted rice is 23-37% higher.
