The rate of quality and high quality rice varieties reaches more than 77% of the total cultivated area.

To improve crop productivity and expand the area of ​​quality rice varieties, from 2020 to present, the agricultural sector has promoted testing, selection, experimentation and transfer of scientific and technical advances into production; organized 60 training courses with the participation of 6,000 people; supported more than 7,000 tons of high-quality rice varieties for farmers, with a total planting area of ​​more than 100,000 hectares; coordinated with businesses to deploy demonstration models of high-quality rice varieties.

Local farmers apply mechanization to harvest rice in the 2025 Spring crop, with an estimated yield of 6.3 tons/ha.

Through support programs, the province has selected and added many high-yield, high-quality rice varieties suitable for local soil conditions to the variety structure.

Up to now, the rate of using high-quality rice varieties in the whole province has reached 77% of the total cultivated area. The average economic efficiency has increased by 3 - 5 million VND/ha, even reaching 6 - 8 million VND/ha in some places.

The production value per unit of cultivated land is estimated at 151 million VND/ha. Crop products not only meet the food needs of the province but also supply some neighboring provinces in the region.
