U.23 Vietnam had its first light training session in Jakarta.
The Vietnamese teams are no strangers to Indonesia in general and especially the capital Jakarta as the archipelago country regularly hosts regional and continental football tournaments. However, the experience of the traffic jam on July 14 still left a strong impression on the U.23 Vietnam team.
On the evening of July 14, after resting to recover their physical condition, the Vietnam U.23 team had their first training session in Jakarta to prepare for the opening match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, with the training ground about 5 km from the team's hotel - a perfect distance.
However, due to the frequent traffic jams in Jakarta, it took coach Kim Sang-sik and his team nearly 50 minutes to reach the training ground. However, the players still maintained a serious training spirit, showing their determination towards the goal of defending the regional title.

The weather in Jakarta currently ranges from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius, not too hot and quite favorable for training.
Because the players had just traveled a long distance from Ho Chi Minh City, coach Kim Sang-sik built a training plan mainly with light exercises to help the whole team relax and get used to the weather and field conditions in the host country.
At the end of the training session, the Korean coach took the opportunity to practice some more content on tactical movement, organizing offensive and defensive formations, creating a foundation for more in-depth professional training sessions in the following days.
