Important training session of U.23 Vietnam
The training session in the UAE is considered very important in the strategy to upgrade the U.23 Vietnam team, helping coach Kim Sang-sik, through the report of interim coach Dinh Hong Vinh, grasp and evaluate new factors towards the 33rd SEA Games and the 2026 AFC U.23 Championship.
With 8 key players Van Khang, Dinh Bac, Trung Kien, Hieu Minh, Xuan Bac… wearing the Vietnam national team jersey, U.23 Vietnam will have the opportunity to test other potential names in 2 matches with strong opponents like U.23 Qatar.
This is clearly shown through the fact that the coaching staff took advantage of the 2 matches in the UAE to have 100% of the players start, in addition, the right to substitute players helped many names who had little or not played much for U.23 Vietnam before to have the opportunity to take the field to prove themselves.

The good news is that in the second match against U.23 Qatar, the two highly anticipated strikers, Van Thuan and Quoc Viet, took turns scoring, both from well-coordinated attacks, surprising their opponents. Previously in the first match, U.23 Vietnam dominated the game, creating many chances but did not score.
In which, Van Thuan completed the smooth development of U.23 Vietnam from home field to the opponent's field, the ball was split reasonably down the right wing and crossed for him to escape and score.
In the second half, Quoc Viet once again demonstrated his signature weapon of powerful long-range shots, after the whole team pressed high to surround, steal the ball, and quickly change positions so he could finish from outside the penalty area.

After the second friendly match with U.23 Qatar, on the morning of October 14 (Vietnam time), the U.23 Vietnam team was given a relaxing break by the coaching staff on their last day in the UAE. This was truly an important experience, helping many players better understand the hot and dry climate conditions in West Asia.
From noon, the entire U.23 Vietnam team was arranged to visit a shopping mall so the players could buy gifts for their relatives, and visit famous buildings such as temples and gold-plated hotels in Abu Dhabi city (UAE).
The team will then take a flight from the UAE to Doha and from there take a connecting flight to Ho Chi Minh City, expected to land at Tan Son Nhat Airport at 1:50 p.m. The players will then take a connecting flight back to their hometown as planned.
