On November 24, the U.23 Vietnam team had its first training session at Ba Ria Stadium (Ba Ria Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

U.23 Vietnam players had their first training session at Ba Ria Stadium to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
Before being stationed in Ba Ria, the Vietnam U.23 team had practice matches at the Panda Cup 2025 in China, with the U.23 teams of China, Korea and Uzbekistan.
The positive signal in the first training session was the maximum support from the home clubs. The group of 6 players who just competed in the National Cup on the evening of November 23, including Thanh Trung, Quoc Viet, Quoc Cuong, Le Vicktor, Nhat Minh and Van Khang, were given separate training to recover their physical condition, while the remaining players entered the professional training program under the direct management of coach Kim Sang-sik.
The return of key players has helped the coaching staff quickly make tactical adjustments for the final stage. Lessons learned from the Panda Cup are being applied immediately to practice, from how to operate the game, distribute personnel to the ability to switch between attack and defense.
The training atmosphere was serious, while the team spirit was recorded at a high level. Striker Bui Vi Hao said he was determined to be selected to go to Thailand. The goal of winning the gold medal is not pressure but motivation for the whole team.
Currently, U.23 Vietnam has 28 players gathering in Ba Ria. The shortlist of 23 players will be announced by coach Kim Sang-sik before leaving for Thailand.
According to the match schedule, the team will have about 3 days to get used to the field conditions before meeting U.23 Laos in the opening match on December 4.
