U23 Vietnam first training session at night

After a direct flight lasting more than 7 hours from Hanoi , the Vietnam U23 team arrived in Doha - Qatar at 12:35 pm on April 8 local time (16:35 Vietnam time), ready for the training session before the 2024 AFC U23 Championship.

At Hamad International Airport, coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team were given a separate area to complete immigration procedures.

Therefore, the whole team only took more than 1 hour to complete all procedures at the airport and move to a 5-star hotel arranged by VFF in Doha. U23 Vietnam had a meal at the hotel and had the first training session at 7:00 p.m. (11:00 p.m. Vietnam time).

U23 Vietnam had meals and rested at the hotel.

Due to the time difference between the two countries, U23 Vietnam will have to gradually adapt to the new training and living schedule. Van Khang, Van Viet, Van Tung and a few other players participated in the 2023 Asian Cup a few months ago, so they will quickly adapt to the requirements of the coaching staff.

Also on the afternoon of April 8, representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Qatar went to the airport to welcome and present flowers to welcome the team.

Mr. Cao Dinh Phan, First Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar, said that in recent times, the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Qatar have been very interested in and following the team's preparations for the 2024 AFC U23 Championship. People are looking forward to cheering for the team in the upcoming matches.

Vietnam U23 is in Group D with Uzbekistan, Kuwait and Malaysia. The team's goal is to reach the quarter-finals. The 2024 AFC U23 Championship is also the qualifying round for men's football at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The three teams ranked first, second and third will win three tickets straight to the group stage. The fourth-placed team will play a play-off match with an African representative to determine the final team to participate in the men's football at the Olympics.
