Earlier, the New York Times quoted senior US officials as saying that secret military documents were leaked on Twitter and Telegram, two platforms widely used in Russia.
The meeting was attended by President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian Presidential Office said in a statement. "The meeting participants focused on measures to prevent leaks of information related to the plans of the Ukrainian armed forces," the statement said.
However, the statement did not say whether the discussions focused on preventing leaks from within Ukraine or from the Western partners with whom they were sharing information.
While the leaked document does not reveal when and where the counterattack will take place, the incident could affect trust between allies because it gives a timeline for the delivery of weapons and Western-trained Ukrainian troops.
When asked for comment, a Pentagon spokesman said: "We are aware of reports of social media posts and the Department of Defense is looking into the matter."
According to Russian news agency RIA Novosti, Russian President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in response to a question about the leak, said that Moscow was sure that it was an example of direct or indirect involvement of the US and NATO in the conflict in Ukraine.
