1. In early April 2025, thousands of hectares of rubber trees in the exploitation period of Le Ninh Joint Stock Company and Viet Trung Joint Stock Company suddenly lost their leaves in large numbers, causing people to be nervous and anxious. According to forestry experts, this unusual phenomenon, the first time it has appeared in more than 60 years, has directly affected businesses specializing in the production and trading of "white gold". Although the units have sent "rescue" documents to large enterprises, research institutes, etc., "distant water cannot put out a nearby fire" when the rubber gardens closed their lush green canopy and turned into rows of bare trees, exhausted of vitality. It takes a while for the trees to recover, so the temporary suspension of rubber tapping has disrupted the family lives of hundreds of people and workers because they lost their main source of income.

Then, in early June, in the town of Nong Truong Viet Trung (now Nam Trach commune - PV), a "locust epidemic" appeared, mainly attacking the bamboo plantations of the people. Wherever they landed, the bamboo trees were stripped of their leaves, and young bamboo shoots were torn to pieces, as if biting into the meager wallets of the already struggling people in this land. To prevent the locusts and protect the crop area, the authorities used drones to spray pesticides, and at the same time advised the people on long-term prevention measures as well as environmental protection solutions.
2. In mid-June, due to the impact of storm No. 1 (storm WUTIP), the whole province had moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain, causing historic flooding in the middle of summer. Floods caused severe damage to agricultural production in the province, specifically: More than 12,000 hectares of summer-autumn rice; 600 hectares of annual crops, flowers and 1,600 hectares of aquaculture were flooded. After the floods, we "witnessed" in many localities farmers struggling to go to the fields to re-sow summer-autumn rice. The work that they had previously spent time and money to sow according to the crop calendar, with the hope of reaping a golden harvest.
It is known that storms and floods are a daily occurrence for people in the windy, white sand region, but amidst the scorching heat, an unusual rain and flood has appeared, making people even more miserable. In order to quickly restore summer-autumn crop production, the province has implemented urgent measures, including recommending people to use short- and extremely short-season rice varieties to ensure safety according to the crop calendar. Because if they are "slow", farmers will have to face risks due to the harsh weather in the Central region.
With the above-mentioned natural anomalies, it can be seen that climate change is increasingly complex and unpredictable, extreme weather phenomena are increasing, not following the rules,... Thereby, requiring us to take stronger actions to protect the environment, shape a green lifestyle, apply the circular economic model to improve adaptability in the new context...
