From the night of October 21 to the early morning of October 22, the An Suong Traffic Police Team (under the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police) coordinated with the Mobile Police force to patrol, control and set up checkpoints to check the alcohol concentration of drivers participating in traffic at the Northwest gateway.

After more than an hour of checking, the authorities checked dozens of cases and discovered 5 drivers violating alcohol levels, issued fines, and temporarily impounded their vehicles. Of these, 3 cases were severely punished due to high alcohol levels of 0.704; 0.425 and 0.597 mg/liter of breath.
Mr. NTH (born in 1993, from Binh Dinh) violated the alcohol concentration and was severely punished by the authorities.
At 10:25 p.m., Mr. NTH (born in 1993, from Binh Dinh) was driving a motorbike carrying a woman sitting behind without a helmet, traveling on Tay Thanh Street from Le Trong Tan to Truong Chinh Street.
During the inspection, the authorities measured Mr. H's alcohol concentration at 0.704 mg/liter of breath. Immediately afterwards, the authorities issued a fine of 7 million VND, revoked his driver's license for 23 months, and detained his vehicle for 7 days.
When the traffic police wrote him a ticket, Mr. H. said he had only drunk a few cans of beer so he was still sober. "I didn't expect a few cans to have such a high alcohol concentration," said Mr. H.

A moment later, the police continued to signal the car to stop and invited Mr. PVT (born in 1992, Tan Binh district).
During the inspection, Mr. T. could not present his driver's license, vehicle registration, or ID card. The noise concentration measurement result was 0.293 mg/liter of breath, so the authorities fined him 4.5 million VND and detained his vehicle for 7 days.
That same evening, the working group discovered suspicious signs in Mr. TPDK (born in 1986, residing in Tan Phu), so they signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection. With an alcohol concentration of 0.425 mg/liter of breath, Mr. K was fined 7 million VND and had his driver's license revoked for 23 months.
Also on the night of October 21, the authorities discovered two more cases of alcohol concentration violations: Mr. P.D.C. (born in 1995, from Ha Tinh ) violated 0.054 mg/liter of breath; Mr. TQD (born in 1972) violated 0.597 mg/liter of breath.
Previously, on the evening of October 20, the Ban Co Traffic Police Team, Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police also set up a checkpoint to check alcohol concentration at the intersection of Cao Thang - 3 Thang 2, Ward 12, District 10.
According to records, just a short time after setting up the alcohol concentration checkpoint, the Ban Co Traffic Police Team, Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department, discovered many drivers violating the law.
