The program to honor typical examples of the great national solidarity cause of Ho Chi Minh City (1975 - 2025) and the ceremony to receive the title of Labor Hero is to recognize and praise the entire system of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, to honor outstanding collectives and individuals who have made many contributions to the great national solidarity cause over the past 50 years, taking care of social security, and at the same time, to arouse the tradition of solidarity, to join hands to continue the tradition of serving the Fatherland, serving the people, building and developing Ho Chi Minh City.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, awarded the title of “Hero of Labor” to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. This is the recognition of the Party and State for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for its outstanding achievements in promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, taking care of social security work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
The title of “Labor Hero” awarded to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City is the result of 50 years of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City firmly standing in the heart of the city, with the joint efforts and consensus of intellectuals, ethnic groups, religions, overseas Vietnamese, people of all walks of life, the companionship of the business community and the contributions of many generations of leaders and cadres of the Front at all levels of the city.
Along with the whole country and the political system of Ho Chi Minh City in the process of construction, development and integration, the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City in the political system in particular and society in general are increasingly enhanced through proactively initiating and building action programs to concretize the policies of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in a practical, effective manner, closely following the practical situation of the city.
The patriotic emulation campaigns and movements launched and implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City have focused on key points, creating consensus, promoting the role of member organizations, strongly arousing the spirit of patriotism, emulation and creative labor of the people and the joint efforts of the whole community to participate in economic development, solving social issues, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring social security, etc.
Thereby, successfully implementing the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring security and order, maintaining stability in security and national defense of the city, actively contributing to building and consolidating the people's security posture, the national defense posture associated with the solid people's hearts posture in the cause of building, protecting and developing the city and the country.

Along with the Party's foreign affairs and State diplomacy, the people's foreign affairs activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations of Ho Chi Minh City have established, expanded solidarity and friendship and signed cooperation agreements with a number of localities of other countries, effectively implemented the project "Vietnamese families with Lao and Cambodian students", built close relationships with people's organizations of countries in the region and overseas Vietnamese organizations, contributing to building prestige and building the image of Ho Chi Minh City as a good and trustworthy partner with localities of other countries.
Over the years, with the great efforts and contributions of the Front's work, which have significantly contributed to the overall achievements of Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City has been recognized by the Party and the State, awarded the Independence Medal (First Class), Labor Medal (First Class); Ho Chi Minh Medal; Fatherland Protection Medal... and many other noble titles and certificates of merit, which have become a driving force to strongly motivate and encourage the spirit of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City to confidently enter a new stage, a stage of breakthrough and comprehensive development.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City continues to promote its core role in building the great national unity bloc, encouraging and motivating people of all walks of life to arouse and strongly promote the tradition of dynamism and creativity, creating unity, consensus, and determination to successfully implement the goals and tasks of building and developing the city, and together with the whole country, enter a new era - the era of national growth.
At the ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - the Board of Mobilization, Management and Use of the Fund "For the Poor" of Ho Chi Minh City awarded 33 Nguyen Huu Tho scholarships. Since 2001, the program has cared for and supported hundreds of thousands of students in difficult circumstances, helping them continue to go to school and fully realize their dreams.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented 50 gifts to children from families with meritorious services. This is a typical and consistent activity of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, ensuring the synchronous implementation of policies for people with meritorious services, social security policies, and social protection policies.
