Literature and art contribute to building national unity

President Ho Chi Minh once emphasized, “Culture and art are also a front. You are soldiers on that front.” His teachings have always been the guiding principle for the creative activities of artists.

Imbued with the Party's revolutionary ideology, the team of artists always maintain a firm political stance, cultivate qualities and mettle, constantly create artistic works to serve the cause of innovation and national construction, spread profound humanistic values, and demonstrate responsibility to the community and society.

Comrade Bui Xuan Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, said: “In the 2020 - 2025 term, members of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association have focused on composing works praising the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho, praising the beauty and prosperity of Vinh Phuc on the path of innovation. Typical examples include the memoir and notes "The Party in the hearts of the people", the photo book "Vinh Phuc with Uncle Ho - Uncle Ho with Vinh Phuc"; the poetry collection "A flower offering to Uncle", "Loving emotions"; the political essay "Multiplying trust and social morality", "The Party, Uncle Ho and Vinh Phuc Spring" ...

The Provincial Literature and Arts Association regularly organizes fine arts exhibitions, poetry days and cultural events on the occasion of the province's and the country's anniversaries such as the 90th and 95th anniversaries of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Vinh Phuc (March 2, 1962 - March 2, 2023); the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024); launching a contest to compose literary and artistic works with the theme "A common Vietnamese foundation"; coordinating the organization of poetry and music programs "Celebrating the Party, Celebrating Spring" every year.

Activities and compositions have contributed to building the Party and government, protecting the Party's ideological foundation; arousing patriotism, and strengthening the great national unity bloc."

As a talented and enthusiastic artist, journalist and writer Nguyen Thi Thanh Vinh, Vice President of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, has composed many outstanding works expressed in many literary genres such as poetry, short stories, literary criticism, and memoirs with content about love for the homeland and country, which have been warmly received by readers near and far and have been honored with many awards.

One of the outstanding works is the travelogue "Fatherland from the Truong Sa Waves" published by the People's Army Publishing House. The travelogue is an emotional journey, truthfully and intimately describing the hardships and sacrifices of island soldiers on duty to protect the sea and sky of their homeland. At the same time, it is a touching, affectionate feeling, a belief and hope, expressing the spirit of solidarity and sacredness of all Vietnamese people, the bond between the army and the people right at the forefront of the wind and waves. Recently, author Nguyen Thi Thanh Vinh was honored to receive the C prize in the literature category at the summary ceremony of the Vietnam Navy Literature and Arts Award for the period 2021 - 2025.

In any historical period, especially in times of national difficulty, the works of artists and writers leave a strong impression of the spirit of self-reliance and self-reliance, multiplying the will and strength of national unity.

At the time when the Covid-19 epidemic was raging, threatening public health, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association released the anthology "Belief in Victory" to encourage people of all walks of life to join hands and unite to overcome the difficult period and defeat the pandemic. The anthology includes 100 works of prose, poetry, music, journalism, art photos, and fine art paintings on the topic of fighting the epidemic, describing people's lives during the epidemic and demonstrating the spirit of unity and solidarity of the Party, government, and people determined to repel the epidemic.

Some compositions in the collection "Belief in Victory" strongly evoke national pride, self-esteem, and the will of great solidarity, such as the poetry "Joining hands to fight the Covid epidemic" by author Lan Phuong and "Son Loi - lessons to win the Covid-19 epidemic" by author Nguyen Trong Quyet; the musical work "Belief in Victory" by author Phan Huy; the journalistic work "Meeting the "steel shields" fighting the "enemy" Covid-19 all night long" by author Thanh Vinh...

With diverse forms and profound content, contributing to creating endogenous strength and multiplying the spirit of national solidarity, the collection "Belief in Certain Victory" was honored to receive the excellent award - 2021 Literature and Arts Award of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

In the era of national development, to continue to promote the glorious tradition, conquer new heights in artistic creation, the team of artists and writers constantly cultivates their talents, trains and improves their revolutionary spirit, exploits valuable materials in the country's innovation and development to create works of value in ideology, art, humanity, and attract the public. Worthy of being the Party's cultural army, the core factor creating new cultural strength and depth, promoting the process of formation and development of the socialist-oriented cultural industry, nurturing spiritual life, and strengthening the will of great national unity.
