These days, the Ho Chi Minh Square area (Vinh city, Nghe An) is more bustling than ever, when hundreds of people, especially young people, flock to take photos and record meaningful moments towards the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

Ho Chi Minh Square was built in 2000 and completed in 2003 to celebrate Uncle Ho's 113th birthday. Ho Chi Minh Square complex is 11 hectares wide and has more than 30 different items. This is a project that shows the respect, love and remembrance of Nghe An people in particular and Vietnamese people in general to the great Father.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Khanh (official of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union) shared: “As an official of the Youth Union, when I put on the traditional Ao Dai and took pictures at Ho Chi Minh Square - a sacred place in the heart of Vinh city, I felt extremely proud and moved. Ao Dai is not only a symbol of national cultural beauty but also shows solemnity and respect when standing in front of his statue. The large, solemn space of the Square, combined with the color of Ao Dai, makes me feel more clearly the responsibility and role of today's young generation, following in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, living beautifully, living usefully and constantly striving to build the homeland and the country".

Nghe An Youth Union at all levels has also widely deployed high-level propaganda activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification with the theme "Peace is beautiful". Notably, the activity in response to the "Red Flag with Yellow Star Shirt Week" took place from April 23-30, 2025.

For the young people, the current peace, independence and unity are priceless. They are not only grateful and proud, but also have the responsibility to inherit, continue and build the country to become increasingly prosperous and strong.
