Le Chuc An makes history: First Vietnamese female golfer to appear on the world professional rankings

Le Chuc An won convincingly at the Trang An Open 2025 - an event of the Thai LPGA system held for the first time in Vietnam.

Throughout the 3 days of competition, Le Chuc An showed brilliant performance when he led all 3 rounds with scores of 70-71-65, achieving a total score of -7.

Although participating as an amateur athlete, the 17-year-old female golfer from the host country made many professional golfers of the Thai LPGA "take off their hats" in admiration.

Chuc An's final round was a display of skill and precision. She opened with a string of eight consecutive pars, before bursting into life with a birdie on hole number nine.

During the remaining 9 holes, the young Vietnamese golfer made the audience burst into tears with a series of consecutive birdies at holes 11, 12 and 13.

Not stopping there, Chuc An continued to maintain an excellent playing pace with 2 birdies at holes 16 and 18, to close the day with a bogey free 65 strokes (-6) - the best round of the tournament.

The victory at Trang An Open 2025 not only brought Chuc An her first title at Thai LPGA, but also helped her enter the world professional women's golf rankings (Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings) when Thai LPGA is the official competition system recognized by this ranking.

This is the first time a Vietnamese female golfer has appeared on this prestigious ranking, a turning point, not only for Le Chuc An's career but also opening up new hope for the future of Vietnamese women's golf in the international arena.
