World gold continues to decrease by 6 USD/oz

Today's gold price on August 9th on the world market continued to decrease by 6 USD/oz to 1,924 USD/oz, 11.91 million VND/tael lower than the current SJC gold selling price.

At the close of trading on August 8, Saigon Jewelry Company listed the buying price of gold at VND66.70 million/tael; the selling price was VND67.30 million/tael, down VND50,000/tael for both buying and selling compared to the opening price on August 8. The difference in the selling price of gold is still VND600,000/tael higher than the buying price.

Spot gold price on the world market continued to decrease by 6 USD/oz to 1,924 USD/oz.

At the same time, DOJI Group listed the buying and selling price of gold at 66.60 - 67.35 million VND/tael. Compared to the opening of the trading session on August 8, the buying and selling price of gold at DOJI remained unchanged. The difference between the buying and selling price of gold at DOJI is maintained at 750,000 VND/tael.

Late afternoon on August 8 (Vietnam time), the world spot gold price on Kitco was listed at 1,930.4 USD/oz, down 3.1 USD/oz compared to early morning of the same day.

Converting world gold price according to foreign exchange rate at Vietcombank : 1 USD = 23,890 VND, world gold price is equivalent to 55.56 million VND/tael, 11.74 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold selling price at the same time.

Domestic coffee price highest at 68,000 VND/kg

Domestic coffee prices on August 9, 2023, in the Central Highlands provinces tended to increase, ranging from 67,100 to 67,800 VND/kg, the highest at 68,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND compared to last week.

The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at a price of 67,000 - 67,100 VND/kg.

Today's coffee price in Dak Lak province, in Cu M'gar district, is currently at 67,800 VND/kg. In Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, the price is 66,800 VND/kg.

World coffee prices, on the world exchange, at the end of the first trading session of the week, Robusta coffee prices on the London (UK) exchange in the most recent trading session reversed to increase, over 2.68%, fluctuating from 2,615 - 2,686 USD/ton depending on the delivery term.

Specifically, the price of coffee delivered in September 2023 reached 2,682 USD/ton, coffee delivered in November 2023 reached 2,554 USD/ton; coffee delivered in January 2024 reached 2,477 USD/ton and coffee delivered in March 2024 reached 2,433 USD/ton.

Pepper market will be positive in the last months of the year

Pepper prices today in the domestic market have not fluctuated compared to yesterday.

Accordingly, pepper prices in the Central Highlands fluctuate around 71,000 - 72,000 VND/kg. Specifically, Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) today is being purchased by traders at 71,000 VND/kg. Dak Lak pepper price today and pepper price in Dak Nong are at 72,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices remain stable today. Specifically, in Ba Ria Vung Tau, pepper prices today are at 74,000 VND/kg. Dong Nai pepper prices are at 72,500 VND/kg. Binh Phuoc pepper prices are at 73,000 VND/kg.

The Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association commented that the pepper export volume in the past 6 months shows that this year's volume is not much, and it is expected that by the end of August, all of the 2023 output will be exported. Therefore, it is possible to hope for a positive impact on the market in the last months of the year.
