This policy will expand access to health services, increase treatment efficiency, reduce financial burdens for people, contribute to improving the quality of human resources and promote economic growth. In particular, exemption of hospital fees will give priority to remote areas, ethnic minorities, contributing to narrowing the gap between rich and poor, towards social justice in health care.

In the 2026-2030 period, the health sector aims for 100% of people to receive regular health check-ups at least once a year. The government will increase support for purchasing health insurance cards, gradually expand benefits, and reduce out-of-pocket payments to below 20%.
