On the afternoon of September 22, at the "AustralianEducation and Cuisine" promotion program in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa), Ms. Laura Davies - representative of the Australian Seafood Industry Association - said that Vietnam is very important to Australia's seafood industry and is currently the country's 5th largest seafood export market.
According to her, in the first 7 months of 2023, the total value of seafood exports from Australia to Vietnam reached about 65 million Australian dollars. Of which, lobster accounted for more than 79%, equivalent to 51.5 million Australian dollars (about 33.3 million USD).
Recently, the first official import of Australian lobsters into Vietnam has completed the collection of four Australian lobsters in Vietnam (South Australian, Western Australian, Eastern Australian and Spiny lobsters).
"Vietnam is currently Australia's fifth largest seafood export market. We would love to export more types of seafood, but this requires a license from Vietnam," said Laura Davies.

Attending the event were representatives of 25 training institutions, 45 food and beverage businesses, seafood, wine, and Australian summer fruit industry associations... This is an opportunity for Australian businesses to survey and introduce products to importers in Vietnam, expanding the market.
